At Lone Oak Middle School, we believe that building strong connections between our educators and families is vital to student success. That’s why we’re excited to launch our weekly campaign: LOMS Staff Spotlight! Each week, we'll be highlighting two of our staff members, giving you a chance to get to know the dedicated professionals who are teaching, guiding, and supporting your children every day.

📚Teaching Assignment: 5th Grade US History  
🏫Number of Years in Education: 21 
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦My Family: I have been married 37 years (We even dated for 5!). I have 3 grown children. Tyler is 34 and is a doctor in Louisiana with his wife and 3 kids, Brooke is 31 and works with adults on the spectrum and lives with her cats, and Haley is 29 and is a nurse in Washington with her husband and 2 kids. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 3 goats on 60 acres in Como.

🎤Hobbies/Talents: I love reading, hiking, the beach and yard work!  My talents are limited, so I may have to choose a backflip off the diving board. 
🥰What I Love Most About My Job: I love seeing the light bulb come on and students' confidence begin to soar!!  I also LOVE making connections with the underdogs and underprivileged.
