LOMS Cheerleader and Mascot Tryouts are Here!
Tryouts for the 2025-2026 LOISD Cheer and Mascot are coming up for incoming 7th - 12th graders, and we can’t wait to see our future cheerleaders and mascots in action! Below is everything you need to know about the sign-up process, important deadlines, and tryout dates.
Sign-Up Dates & Procedures
📅 February 3rd - February 13th, 2025
- To reduce paper usage, tryout packets will only be distributed after the parent permission form has been signed and returned.
- Grades and behavior will be checked before packets are handed out.
- Students must be passing on the last day of sign-ups to be eligible for tryouts.
- Permission forms must be submitted to the school office by February 13th at 4:00 PM (NO EXCEPTIONS).
- Late forms will NOT be accepted, and students who do not submit forms on time will not be allowed to try out.
Important Dates
2/3 - 2/13 → Sign-ups & Parent Permission Forms Due
2/20 → Tryout packets distributed
2/26 → Mandatory Parent/Candidate Meeting (6:15 PM, LOMS Cafeteria)
**ALL paperwork from the packet is due at the start of this meeting!**
Tryout Schedule
3/03 - 3/05 → Closed Gym (6-8 PM) – Candidates only!
3/06 → Open Gym (6 PM) – Parents can watch!
3/07 → Tryouts (9:00 AM) for both middle & high school
We encourage all interested students to stay on top of deadlines and attend all required meetings to ensure a smooth tryout process.
