About Us

I am proud to serve as the assistant principal of Lone Oak Middle School. I have been an educator at Lone Oak ISD since 2008. Prior to my role in administration, I taught middle school science,  coached volleyball, basketball, softball, and track, and sponsored numerous student clubs and organizations.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Sports Studies from Texas A&M Commerce in 2007. In 2012, I earned a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M Commerce and went on to earn my Texas principal certification.

In addition to education, I am actively involved in fire and EMS. I serve as the Assistant Chief of the Lone Oak Fire Department, where I volunteer as a firefighter/EMT within the community. I also work part-time on the ambulance for Hunt County EMS and am currently pursuing a national paramedic certification.

I love being a wife and am a proud mother of a son, Chase, and a daughter, Madilyn. I enjoy spending time with family,  being outdoors, traveling, and cheering on the Lone Oak Buffaloes.  

I am so excited to join the Buffalo family and to serve the staff and students as the
assistant principal of Lone Oak Middle School! I have been an educator in Rockwall ISD and Royse City ISD for 25 years. Prior to my role in administration, I taught all levels of English including GT and Pre-AP, Spanish 1, Graphic Design, Yearbook, Newspaper, Career Prep, served as senior class advisor, and have been very active in Texas Association of Student Councils and National Student Council as an advisor for over 20 years.

I am originally from Oklahoma and earned my Bachelor of Science in Language Arts
Education with a minor in Spanish from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!). I recently earned my Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University and went on to earn my principal certification. I am passionate about campus culture and building meaningful trust relationships.

In addition to education, I love watching sports (especially college football and my own kids’ activities), traveling, kayaking, reading, and spending time making memories with family and friends. I am a very creative person and also do amateur photography in my free time.

My husband Doug and I have 3 children: Wyatt, a junior Mechanical and Aerospace
Engineering major at Oklahoma State University; Zoie, a middle school 8th grader, volleyball and track star; and our unexpected blessing Maddox, who will be 1 on August 9th. We are ecstatic to get to know the Lone Oak community and to have the best year yet!
